Satyagraha - A multi-starrer movie with a bad plot

Satyagraha is a Bollywood flick directed by Prakash Jha, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai. The movie revolves around two friends – Ajay Devgn and Indraneil Sengupta, who are very different from each other in terms of personalities. Indraneil is like his father who believes in working for the country and bringing in change in the political system of the nation where as Ajay Devgn is business minded and believes in making quick money. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Indraneil father and is a teacher who is very depressed with the indian political system & wants to do something for everyone in his gaon (village). Amrita Rao is Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law and Ajay Devgans sister-in-law. Arjun Rampal is just there for appearance, just like Amrita Rao and doesn’t have any major role to play. The funny part is, in between all the hush hush of strikes, riots, mob…etc in the movie; there is a love song, between Kareena & Ajay, where they are almost making out.  I didn’t think it was needed at all. However what is Indian Cinema without make out scenes and love songs. Anyways so Amitabh Bachchan, from being a teacher, now forms a political party in the second half of the movies, tries to follow Anna Hazaare practising “ann –shan” & finally dies at the end of the movie; and Ajay Devgn, who was a super-rich dude in the beginning of the movie, gives away everything to run a political party and doing something for his country. This movie was absolutely unrealistic, with a pathetic second half.

I would rate this movies a 2 /10

I don’t understand why would Farhan Akhtar produce such a movie? I would rate the movie 3/ 10. It made no sense. The movie stars Pulkit Sharma, Manjot Singh, Varun Sharma, Ali Faizal, Richa Chadda, Vishakha Singh and Priya Anand. The movie begins with Pulkit Sharma and Varun Sharma talking some non-sense about college girls and their dream of entering college as they have been failures throughout their lives; right from failing in 1 st Std. Next scene is about Manjot Singh praying and wanting the same thing, entering college just because his so-called girlfriend studies in that college, who apparently is cheating on him. The third guy, Ali Faizal is some wandered who keeps on wandering around the college campus like some nomad. By the way nobody is allowed within the college campus but this guy Ali Faizal is allowed, nobody knows why and how. One of the most beautiful movies ever made by anyone – The Bucket List (The Story)

The Bucket List is one of the very few movies that have an actual meaning in it. This movie is about two complete strangers who meet at a hospital. These two people are from two completely different backgrounds. Their names are Edward (Anthony Hopkins) and Ray (Morgan Freeman). Edward is very rich man and owns the hospital in which the two of them meet and Ray is a car mechanic. Both the men suffer from cancer; however Edward doesn’t have a family, who would visit him often. Whereas Ray, had a wife, three children and a grandchild as well. Rays wife Virginia often came to meet Ray and was upset with the news of him suffering from cancer. As the movie continues the duo i.e. Ray & Edward become friends and then very good friends.
