Satyagraha - A multi-starrer movie with a bad plot

Satyagraha is a Bollywood flick directed by Prakash Jha, starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Amrita Rao, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai. The movie revolves around two friends – Ajay Devgn and Indraneil Sengupta, who are very different from each other in terms of personalities. Indraneil is like his father who believes in working for the country and bringing in change in the political system of the nation where as Ajay Devgn is business minded and believes in making quick money. Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Indraneil father and is a teacher who is very depressed with the indian political system & wants to do something for everyone in his gaon (village). Amrita Rao is Amitabh Bachchan’s daughter-in-law and Ajay Devgans sister-in-law. Arjun Rampal is just there for appearance, just like Amrita Rao and doesn’t have any major role to play. Kareena is a journalist who falls in love with Ajay Devgn eventually. The funny part is, in between all the hush h

The Bucket List - List of Learnings from the Movie

If you haven’t watched this movie then you have missed out on one of the most inspiring stories ever. This movie inspires you to live, think, believe and to enjoy life as it comes.

What is the take home from this movie, you may ask, after reading the synopsis, I am sure you’ve got a gist of what the movie is all about.

Now let me list down the various, expressions and relationships the characters of this movie have portrayed and shared.

1.       Befriend an unknown person – expression of kindness

2.       Go through a treacherous health condition – expressing pain

3.       And have an unknown friend sharing the same pain – sense of security (I am not the only one)

4.       Coming in terms with the fact that you are going to die soon – sense of fear

5.       Preparing the list of to-do things with an unknown friend before kicking the bucket – sense of excitement

6.       Practically attaining goals from the to do list – sense of achievement

7.       Pondering about what happens when a person dies  – sense of thinking beyond the horizon (every person has his or her version of defining horizon, for me it’s death, horizon is defined as the line where sky meets the earth and nobody knows what lies beyond that line, it can be beautiful or ugly but the gate definitely seems beautiful, so its keeps you curious to know what lies ahead of it)

8.       Fighting with your loved one – sense of care

9.       Realizing and accepting ones mistake – sense of being more humane

10.   Treating an employee/person as a son/friend – shows a person’s character – coz for him no one is big or small, everyone deserves the same treatment

11.   Being there for someone even after their death, trying to complete their partially fulfilled wishes – sense of being generous

12.   Laugh out till you cry, even when you are counting your last breath –sense of living every moment of life

I don’t know how many of these expressions or bonds have I felt or shared, but I know that every person will go through this feeling at some point of their life, this movie actually teaches us to live life before dying.

I personally believe that one should experience everything once in his/her life, good or bad, doesn’t matter; coz at the end when you die you would not regret that you never lived.

More to come, Happy Reading!!!

THE DIRTY PICTURE

Oo La la Oo la la, Yes i simply love that song and i simply loved the movie too. The story of the movie is very typical, rags to riches and then fall down. However, what i loved about the movie, is the acting, Vidya Balan is absolutely fabulous, with her strong bindaas character & “I care a damn” attitude. The movie revolves around the story of a B-grade movie actress who believes that the entertainment industry loves skin shows, skimpy clothes, horny expressions & fleshy body& people want and like to see all of this on screen. She believes that she has the power rule the glamour world just by her looks & expressions, which she indeed does. She reaches the peak of success but is unable to manage it. She experiences love, lust, betrayal, jealousy, confidence, faith, regret & guilt and finally gives up on her life. She lives her life her way, by her rules & dies her way too... The dialogues of the movie are filthy but very well delivered; also bappi da has do

Desi Boyz

I usually catch upon some nice movies on weekends, today I saw desi boyz. I would rate the movie a 4/10. I liked the first half of the movie. The akshay-john pair worked more than akshay-chitrangada or john-deepika pairs.  Chitrangada Singh was not needed in the movie at all. Her role was squeezed into the movie, for no apparent reasons, she is introduced in the second half of the movie. Also, there are songs at unnecessary situations. John and Akshay have acted well as compared to Deepika & Chitrangada. The story is not that strong. It’s a typical Bollywood movie with no substance at all. If You have loads of time and want to kill it, go watch this movie, you’ll definitely waste 2.5 hours of your life out of which you may enjoy the first 45 min and the next few hours you would curse yourself to be seating in the theatre hall and watching the movie.  Anyways for guys, you can definitely watch this movie if you want to see sensual Chitrangada coz
